Video: ‘We Have Things to Improve It’s Obvious’ – Leonardo Understands Concerns Regarding PSG’s Performance

Paris Saint-Germain and manager Mauricio Pochettino is enduring criticism for the lack of matches where the squad plays a full 90 minutes of quality football.

The capital club continues to have defensive mistakes that leave those watching scratching their heads. Meanwhile, on the offensive side, they’re unable to put together a tactical plan that sees PSG flex their attack with the likes of Neymar Jr., Kylian Mbappé, and Lionel Messi.

During a press conference following the match, PSG sporting director Leonardo understands the concern for their form but preaches that they continue to pull out positive results despite the squad working on their flaws.

“That we have things to improve it’s obvious; it is even normal given the context. There were players who arrived at the end of the preparation. There were important changes. We are not where we want, but the team is working a lot. It’s very important,” Leonardo said.

“The only thing that I don’t really like is the way of judging. There is a way of speaking, of criticizing gratuitously; it is a little too much. Compared to the coach, compared to the great players, who arrived this year. We know that we are not well, but the manner, there, it is a little too much.”
