Neymar Jr. hasn’t played looked like himself this season despite showing good form with the Brazil national team. Nonetheless, it hasn’t translated with Paris Saint-Germain. As a result, many are questioning how the capital club can get the 29-year-old to emulate his form with his country.
During a segment on Rothen s’enflamme, former PSG forward Nicolas Anelka spoke about the current form of Neymar. The France international states that there’s criticism coming the Brazil international, but there can also be some questions toward Lionel Messi’s performance to begin this season.
“Today you put Neymar on the pitch, you don’t know what’s going to happen. Anything and everything can happen with Neymar. This is perhaps why today, the coach leaves him on the field. He has confidence in himself, and even with Neymar, who is less well, PSG continues to win,” Anelka said.
“His match against OM? Di María, he knows very well that it will be him who will come out first. It’s difficult, yes, but he knows it. Today, we are suing Neymar, but we can also do it for Messi because, since the start of the season, it’s not extraordinary either.”
