Paris Saint-Germain defender Marquinhos spoke in a video published to the club’s social media platforms, discussing various topics in a rapid-fire interview. One of the questions that the Parisian captain answered is in regards to mastering the French language.
Marquinhos also says that he has already adapted and even developed a French style for himself. The 27-year-old stated that his kids have a better grasp of speaking French than he does.
“Today, I have many French friends. I can speak French, I understand. I understand the French, the lifestyle, as they are. Yesterday, I was at home with my daughter, and I was impressed by her French,” Marquinhos said.
Furthermore, Marquinhos touched on helping teammates such as Neymar Jr. improve their French, which debunks any speculation that the 29-year-old doesn’t want to learn the language.
“I try, I try, Neymar mainly. Sometimes they have difficulty, and they ask me to help. I’m always here to help them,” Marquinhos said.
