Through eleven matches, plenty of pundits are beginning to question whether Paris Saint-Germain manager Mauricio Pochettino is the right guy to get the most out of the capital club squad.
With a report of Zinedine Zidane possibly being open to managing PSG, the criticism of the Argentine tactician seems to be getting louder.
During a segment on “Rothen s’enflamme” former PSG midfielder Jérôme Rothen stated that the squad, which has Lionel Messi, Neymar Jr., and Kylian Mbappé, continues to regress rather than progress under Pochettino.
“The problem is, we don’t know where he is going with this. We don’t know how he wants to play. I had no doubts when he signed, but today I have a lot of doubts in terms of communication but especially on what he wants to put on the field and his playing profile.” Rothen said.
“He puts the four offensives in the same layout as in the game in Rennes, while it is perhaps the lousiest game of PSG since the start of the season. And he will explain to us that it is normal, that this team is still in full progress. But there is no progression, there is regression, Mr. Pochettino.”
🗣💬 "Sur tout un match, le PSG n'a pas été bon dans les huit dernières rencontres. Il y a des manques à tous les niveaux, on ne sait pas où il veut en venir."
