OGC Nice doesn’t play Paris Saint-Germain until December 1st, but the club already has in the back of its mind that they’ll need to stop an attack that features Neymar Jr., Lionel Messi, and Kylian Mbappé.
In an interview with CGTN Sports Scene, Nice captain Dante joked that the only way to stop the PSG trio is not to show up to play against them.
“Perhaps it would take one – or two – of them not playing? There is no magic formula; I think most of all, you have to show courage and personality,” Dante said.
“The aggressiveness and the will to duel against that kind of players. Avoid being passive against them, remaining focused and playing as a team, staying tight. I think that the right words if we talk about defending against a trio like them is courage and personality.”
Nice currently finds itself in third place in Ligue 1, and it seems as though Les Aiglons could be one of the French clubs hoping to challenge PSG and finish in a UEFA Champions League spot.
