Paris Saint-Germain forward Lionel Messi is continuing to pick up his form with the team this season, and Kylian Mbappe has been a major contributor in this.
Mbappe most notably assisted Messi in his first goal with PSG, which came against Manchester City in the UEFA Champions League home group stage match. More so, Mbappe formed keen chemistry with the Argentine in the recent home Champions League match against RB Leipzig.
PSG manager Mauricio Pochettino came away from the 3-2 win over RB Leipzig pleased with the showings of both Messi and Mbappe in the match, which he spoke further about following the result.
“In games where it is difficult to find collective solutions, that’s when you can count on players like them,” Pochettino said. “Talent is easily found, we just need time for those automatism to come back more easily.”
Messi has scored three goals with PSG so far this season. In one way or another, Mbappe played a vital role in each of these scores.
