Paris Saint-Germain’s attack of Lionel Messi, Neymar Jr., and Kylian Mbappé has yet to be firing on all cylinders. One that’s struggling to find his form with the capital club is the Brazil international.
Neymar is facing criticism for his poor form to start the season, but the 29-year-old put together a good performance in PSG’s 2-1 victory over Lille OSC. The forward provided an assist on the Ángel Di María game-winning goal and also generated five key passes.
After the match, Neymar spoke to Prime Video Sport France, stating that he doesn’t let the criticism bother him.
“It was a tough game. We knew we were going to encounter difficulties. But we fought to the end. We scored two goals. It’s good for the team. Congratulations to all. And I am very happy,” Neymar said.
“The critics? Reviews are normal. I’ve been playing football for 15 years, and I’m used to it. I do not care. The most important criticism is mine, and my answer is for the team on the pitch. We know what we’re doing on and off the pitch; I’m fine, I’m calm.”
