Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar Jr. isn’t off to the best start with the capital club this season, and it’s not due to the player. During the FIFA international break, the 29-year-old displayed great form with the Brazil national team, leading many to question the tactics of manager Mauricio Pochettino.
The Argentine tactician spoke to the media at his press conference. He discussed the current form of Neymar and added that the Brazil international could improve as the season continues.
“The circumstances are always different. The comparisons are not fair. For me, Neymar is a player with enormous talent, one of the best players in the world. When we arrived at PSG, we tried to give him everything he needed to be at his best,” Pochettino said.
“I’m happy with him. For me, he’s a player with enormous talent. It is very good. We always hope that he will continue to improve. We are first in Ligue 1, first in the Champions League, but that’s not enough because we know we have to continue to do better.”
