‘Things Are Going Well’ – The Mother of Kylian Mbappé Sheds Light on the Contract Extension Talks With PSG

After a month away, the Kylian Mbappé contract extension rumors have picked up once more following the 22-year-old’s interview with RMC Sport. The France international stated that he asked for a departure from Paris Saint-Germain amid interest from Real Madrid.

The Spanish club reportedly made offers for Mbappé; however, the capital club declined these proposals with the hope of extending their young superstar.

When it comes to the discussions both parties are having, it’s mostly been quiet on the fronts; nothing has come out from either party regarding the details. However, it seems after Mbappé’s interview, his camp wants to calm the waters.

In an interview with Le Parisien, Fayza Lamari, the mother of Mbappé, spoke about the ongoing extension talks with the forward.

“We are currently discussing with PSG, and things are going well. I even had Leonardo on Monday night. After that, will we come to a way out?” Lamari said.

“One thing is certain: he will give his all to the end to win the Champions League. Kylian needs to be fulfilled. If he’s unhappy, he’s able to tell you: I’m quitting my career. And he often tells us so. With Kylian, everything can change overnight.”

Mbappé can speak with any club in January and agree to a pre-contract for the 2022-23 season if there’s no contract extension with the Ligue 1 side when the winter transfer window opens.
