Paris Saint-Germain scored early in its fixture against FC Metz with
Achraf Hakimi providing the strike to give the capital club the 1-0 lead. However, the defending set-pieces have again proved to be an issue for the squad as they conceded on a corner kick.
Nonetheless, this season it seems PSG has a flair for the dramatics as Hakimi would provide the late strike for the 2-1 victory. After the match manager, Mauricio Pochettino spoke at his press conference to discuss his team’s performance.
“We see that the team fights to the end. They have this ability to surpass herself,” Pochettino said. “I am happy with this. The team showed character. We had a good start to the match.”
“We dominated, we created opportunities against a physical opponent, who plays the transitions well and goes very quickly from defense to attack as in this action where Keylor saves us. One of the goals is to maintain this level and pace throughout the game.”
