Manchester City had various opportunities to score the equalizing goal, but it was one of those nights where the football didn’t want to go in the back of the net for the Premier League side.
As for PSG, they didn’t have as many scoring chances, but on two occasions, they found the back of the net for the eventual 2-0 victory over Pep Guardiola’s squad.
Following the match, Manchester City defender Aymeric Laporte spoke to RMC Sport, discussing what went wrong for them.
“We had a good game; we missed the goal. [PSG] put it in,” Laporte said. “The most important thing is to score. Paris did it on very few occasions, and they won the game. We do not approach the match in a different way (playing against Neymar, Messi). We regularly play very great players, but we knew it could happen. We failed to score.”
