Paris Saint-Germain will have the attacking trio of Lionel Messi, Neymar Jr., and Kylian Mbappé this season.
However, former capital club forward Nicolas Anelka stated on RMC Sports Rothen’s Enflammé that putting the 22-year-old in the striker position would be a mistake.
Anelka went on to say that Mbappé is a winger, suitable for either the left or right side. Canal Supporters would relay the comments made by the former France international on the PSG forward.
“You have to know Mbappé’s preferential position. For me Kylian is not a No. 9, he’s more of a left-winger or a right-winger. Every time he makes a call, we have to give him the ball,” Anelka said.
“Who can give him the ball? Players like Griezmann or Benzema, because his calls are sharp and he can make the difference. Why deprive yourself of that? If he had played against Finland, he would have hurt very, very badly!”
