Leandro Paredes arrived in 2019 from FC Zenit, and he’s been a critical part of the Paris Saint-Germain midfield. The 27-year-old is under contract with the capital club until 2023, but it appears as the Ligue 1 side wants to prolong his stay.
According to Calciomercato (via Paris Fans), PSG is working on a contract extension with Paredes. However, there are no further details on the type of deal the French giants will be offering.
Nonetheless, under Mauricio Pochettino, Paredes seems to have turned the corner to become a reliable player. One of the marquee performances by Paredes with PSG was in Barcelona in the first leg against FC Barcelona.
Paredes has one more year after this season with PSG, so it comes as no surprise that Les Parisiens are beginning talks with Paredes. The midfielder has made 93 appearances during his time with French giants, scoring two goals and registering seven assists.
