Amid Mbappe’s uncertain future at the club, PSG club officials are now reportedly eyeing Napoli forward Victor Osimhen as a possible replacement for the Ligue 1 superstar, as noted by the Italian-based outlet La Gazzetta dello Sport (via CalcioMercato).
It remains to be seen whether PSG club officials have a plan to aggressively pursue Osimhen in the next summer transfer window if Mbappe does elect to leave the club as a free transfer.
Osimhen has been a pivotal player behind Napoli’s undefeated start to the Serie A season. The Nigerian striker has scored four goals in league play over the ongoing campaign.
The rising Serie A star currently has four more years remaining on his contract deal with the Naples-based side.
In the meantime, Mbappe is looking to help guide PSG to Champions League triumph this season, while Osimhen has an eye on leading Napoli to a Serie A title over the ongoing campaign.
