Report: PSG made €400-million in Neymar’s first season

When Paris Saint-Germain decided to pay the €222-million release clause and land Neymar Jr., the capital club made it clear that they were investing in the FC Barcelona star and not only making a purchase for a football player, and it seems as though history has proven PSG right.

According to a report from Marca, the Ligue 1 side made €400 million in profits in the 29-ear-old’s first season thanks to all the commercial agreements and the impact that Neymar’s arrival in Paris caused worldwide.

The arrival of Neymar, they say at PSG, promoted vitally essential agreements, such as the one he signed with the Italian brand Replay or Nike Jordan, which wouldn’t be impossible without the presence of Neymar.

It will be interesting to see how much PSG earns this season following the addition of Lionel Messi. In addition, Les Parisiens are beginning to see new sponsors such as the fashion brand Dior inking a two-year deal, and it will be interesting to see what other brands jump on board due to Messi.
