This past summer, Paris Saint-Germain cornered the free transfer market with four of their six additions this summer coming without the capital club having to spend a fee.
It doesn’t seem this will be a one-off as the capital club will monitor players who only have one year left on their contract and hope by January they can begin negotiating a pre-contract.
According to L’Interista, one player PSG hopes doesn’t extend before the winter transfer window is midfielder Marcelo Brozović. There are no further details on what type of deal the capital club will be offering.
Nonetheless, the Ligue 1 side will have some competition for the midfielder as FC Barcelona also has their eye on the 28-year-old. Brozović isn’t the only midfielder from a Milan-based club that PSG has its eyes on next summer.
A report suggests that PSG has a contract waiting for Franck Kessié, who will become a free agent in 2022. It will be interesting to see whether Les Parisiens can upgrade their midfield beginning in January to pending free agents and sign them to a pre-contract.
