Lionel Messi had a multitude of memorable moments at the Parc des Princes during his time with Barcelona. But now, he is set for his first career match at this historic stadium as a member of Paris Saint-Germain.

PSG manager Mauricio Pochettino is much looking forward to how Messi will perform at the Parc des Princes in the team’s upcoming Ligue 1 fixture against Olympique Lyonnais.

In a press conference ahead of the match (via Le Parisien), Pochettino opened up on Messi’s mentality for this key match.

“He is calm, quiet before making his debut in front of his fans,” Pochettino said. “The team is also well, we think to make a good performance, better than the one we made the other day.”

PSG’s upcoming Ligue 1 showdown with Lyon sure would be a key opportunity for Messi to put out for his first grand performance with the Ligue 1 giants. He still has not recorded a single goal contribution with PSG so far this season, and there is much expectation for the Argentine forward to deliver for the team against his side’s longtime Ligue 1 rivals.
