Among the talents who Paris Saint-Germain signed over the recent summer transfer window, only Sergio Ramos has not yet made his debut with the team. The Spanish defender has been sidelined as of late due to a calf injury.
PSG further provided a key update on Ramos’ injury earlier this week via its official website, where the side noted that he will return to individual training next week.
For the moment, it is not clear as to when Ramos will be back for in-game action with PSG. Still, PSG manager Mauricio Pochettino did provide one notable update on the Spaniard’s injury during a press conference on Friday, where he ruled him out for next week’s key match.
“As for the game against Brugge, as the club has said, Sergio Ramos is still undergoing recovery and for this match, it will not be possible,” Pochettino said. “It is not something that worries me. He is following the steps that he has to take.”
PSG will open up its UEFA Champions League group stage schedule with a pivotal matchup against Club Brugge. While Ramos will not be available for this clash, PSG will still have Brazilian defender Marquinhos to lead the team’s backline.
