Lionel Messi provided for his first standout performance with Paris Saint-Germain in its UEFA Champions League group stage fixture against Manchester City.
In the second half of the contest, Messi doubled PSG’s lead in the match as he scored one vintage long-distance goal.
The goal for Messi was his 27th against Premier League clubs in the Champions League competition, which ranks in the top spot all-time above Cristiano Ronaldo (12), Robert Lewandowski (10) and Thomas Muller (10).

Messi has had quite a number of impressive performances in duels with Premier League sides in this competition. The Argentine will soon have another opportunity to add to his goal tally in this leaderboard when PSG again faces off against the reigning Premier League champions later this season in the away Champions League group stage match.
