‘Let’s See What Happens’ – Toni Kroos Discusses the Possibility of Kylian Mbappé at Real Madrid

Real Madrid did their best this summer to land Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappé. Los Blancos reportedly made at least two offers for the 22-year-old, but the capital club turned down the proposals as they had no interest in selling him.

Nonetheless, until Mbappé signs a contract extension, Real Madrid will remain lurking, and in January, the Spanish club could talk with the France international and agree to a pre-contract for the 2022-23 season.

Midfielder Toni Kroos hopes the La Liga side will finally land Mbappé next year after failing to land the PSG forward this past summer during an interview with Goal (via AS).

“In the summer, I already said that I would like a player like [Mbappé] to come, but if he doesn’t, we have a good team,” Kroos said.”Let’s see what happens in the future. It is difficult for me to say because I am not the one who decides.”

“His quality has not changed – he is a good player and what we know is that Madrid wanted to sign him but in the end, they didn’t succeed. Everything continues, also without Mbappé here.

PSG has only a few months to continue talks with Mbappé to see if they can extend the young player. A recent report from a Spanish media outlet suggests that the Ligue 1 side wants to make 22-year-old the highest-paid player on the squad and an enormous signing bonus.
