There is a real possibility that Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Angel Di Maria is currently playing in his final season with the club, as he is set to become a free agent next year.
Di Maria already has early plans for what may come following his PSG career, which he spoke about to ESPN Argentina’s “Football 90” show.
“I would like to be able to retire in Rosario Central,” Di Maria said. “I would like to return feeling well. I have one more year left for me this year.”
Di Maria has shown that although he is nearing the backend of his prime days, he still can produce key showings for both PSG and the Argentina national team. This has been on display as of late, from his standout performances in the 2021 Copa America tournament to his formidable showings in recent Ligue 1 fixtures.
For now, the Argentine midfielder is looking to help PSG win its first Champions League trophy in club history. The French powerhouse is among the heavy favorites to win the title this season.
