Lionel Messi’s arrival at Paris Saint-Germain is still the talk of the town with the club.
Messi has been the main attraction with the team as of late in scheduled training sessions. And for his new teammates, they are already getting a preview of what could be in store for them when they will tag along with him in fixtures this season.
New PSG midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum much sees that Messi will work to improve the team, which the Dutch talent spoke further about to PSG TV.
“I feel the same as every other player in the squad,” Wijnaldum said. “It’s incredible.
“We are happy that he has joined us, and even more so now because we are with him, and you can see how good a person he is and how humble he is.
“We are delighted to play with him. He wants to make sure that everybody plays their best football. We’re really looking forward to playing with him.”
Wijnaldum also touched on his role with PSG, where he noted that he simply wants to provide the team with versatility in the middle of the park.
“It’s always difficult to say which position I feel most comfortable in,” Wijnaldum said. “I am capable of playing in several positions, I want to be able to help the team attack and defend, I feel good in midfield. I don’t want to say that I want to play in a particular position, it depends on what the coach wants.”
It will be noteworthy to see on the role that Wijnaldum will be set to with the team this season. He can both play multiple positions and exert a keen influence in both the attack and defense for the Ligue 1 giants.
