Video: ‘It’s Hard to Imagine’ – Jürgen Klopp Comments on the Arrival of Lionel Messi at PSG

This summer, Paris Saint-Germain cornered the free transfer market as it landed Georginio Wijnaldum, Gianluigi Donnarumma, Sergio Ramos, and Lionel Messi without paying any fees. Acquiring players in this manner was always applauded; however, it became an issue once the capital club began using this method.

Liverpool FC manager Jürgen Klopp spoke to BILD TVCanal Supporters relayed the comments made by the German tactician regarding the transfer market and Messi landing with the Ligue 1 side and stated that with the names PSG has, they should be winning 8-0.

“Messi at PSG? They are also Rouge & Bleu, so the difference is not that big… It’s hard to imagine. But Barcelona is currently steeped in the financial problems of the past. This kind of thing always catches us up,” Klopp said.

“The overwhelming power of state clubs? PSG won 4-2 against Brest. When you look at the players’ names in Paris, you would expect it to be 8-0, but it was 4-2. This is the good thing about football; nobody knows in advance who is going to win. Some have good chances, others less. But everyone has their chance. That’s what I think is great about football.”
