As the ongoing summer transfer window is set to close in less than a week, Real Madrid is now rushing to haul in Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe.
Earlier this week, Real Madrid reportedly made an offer to PSG for Mbappe that centered on a €160 million transfer deal, which was turned down by the Ligue 1 powerhouse.
Now, Real Madrid is inching closer to possibly signing Mbappe to a blockbuster permanent transfer deal.
As noted by RMC Sport, Real Madrid and PSG opened up discussions over this transfer matter for the first time on Thursday.
Real Madrid submitted a transfer offer of €170 million coupled with a €10 million bonus to PSG for the forward. Unlike the first time around, PSG did not immediately turn down the offer.
Many have been looking forward to seeing Mbappe, Lionel Messi and Neymar on the pitch together this season. But at the moment, Mbappe is looking to leave for Real Madrid in what could end up being yet another notable move in this transfer window.
