Lionel Messi has not yet played in a fixture with Paris Saint-Germain, but he is reportedly already looking ahead to possibly reuniting with a former teammate of his.
As noted by the Spanish-based outlet Todofichajes, Messi is aiming to soon once again play alongside current Atletico Madrid striker Luis Suarez — but at PSG next season. Messi and Suarez featured together over six seasons at Barcelona, where they set numerous goal-scoring records.
As Suarez will become a free agent next year, he is well aiming to also join PSG to tag alongside Messi, the report added.
PSG reportedly showed an interest in signing Suarez over the last summer transfer window. In the end, Suarez wound up joining Atletico Madrid instead, where the move has so far paid off for him after he helped the team win La Liga this past season.
It surely would be a sight to see Messi, Neymar and Suarez once again play together, but with the French powerhouse this time around.
