Report: Lionel Messi to Make PSG Debut on the 29th Against Stade de Reims

Many are waiting for the news when Lionel Messi will make his debut for Paris Saint-Germain since signing with the capital club next week. Well, it seems as though there’s a date for when the 34-year-old will be in Mauricio Pochettino’s starting eleven.

According to Sky Sports, Messi will debut with PSG on the 29th against Stade de Reims at the Stade Auguste Delaune. Messi trained for only the third time with the Ligue 1 side, as they’ll be patient with his fitness.

This summer, Messi didn’t have a pre-season since he participated in the Copa America with Argentina and won the competition. Afterward, the Argentine forward went on his holiday before heading into the FC Barcelona exit meeting.

PSG plays this week on Friday against Stade Brestois 29, but it seems that the match being in-week is too son for Messi. As a result, it will come in two weeks.

A few days ago, Goal’s Robin Bairner reported that the black market for tickets for Reims vs. PSG on August 29th is selling at a high rate and with this news, expect them to continue to be a hot ticket for those looking to attend the match.
