The future of Kylian Mbappé has appeared to be resolved (sort of) for now. It seems as though the 22-year-old will remain with Paris Saint-Germain and see out the final year of his contract.
According to La Cadena Ser (via Paris Fans), PSG sporting director Leonardo has told the capital club locker room that Mbappé will stay with the Ligue 1 side this season.
The report further details that the locker room has also assured that the player has also announced to his inner circle in the locker room that he will stay this season.
The sources of the information confirm that Leonardo assured in his negotiations this summer that Mbappé would be in the team this year.
Recent reports revealed that Real Madrid wanted to put an offer for the France international, but it seems as though their pursuit might have to wait a year.
Despite Mbappé reportedly deciding to stick around this season, the elephant in the room over whether he’ll extend his contract or leave for Los Blancos on a free transfer next summer.
With the forward remaining, PSG will be able to count on the attack that will feature Mbappé, Neymar Jr., and Lionel Messi.
