Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Sergio Rico may be on the verge of leaving the club over the ongoing summer transfer window. The Spanish goalkeeper has been linked with plenty of clubs as of late for a possible transfer deal, and one notable Premier League side also pondered on whether to push to sign him.
As noted by the Spanish-based outlet Todoficajes, Tottenham had Rico on its transfer agenda for a possible deal.
Tottenham recently shored up its goalkeeper depth with the one-season loan signing of Atalanta goalkeeper Pierluigi Gollini. Still, the Premier League side had put some thought into making a move to haul in Rico.
The report also notes that La Liga sides Granada and Valencia are well interested in the former Sevilla goalkeeper. From Rico’s standpoint, he is much open to a return to La Liga.
Considering that PSG recently signed Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, Rico’s run with the team may soon be coming to an end due to his current status as its third-string goalkeeper.
