PSG Mercato: Paul Pogba to Depart Manchester United for Free Next Summer

Before Lionel Messi fell onto their lap, Paris Saint-Germain monitored Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba. The 28-year-old’s contract expires next summer, and he has yet to sign a contract extension with the Premier League side.

The capital club won’t rule out any possible move for Pogba, but it seems as though sporting director Leonardo is putting his ducks in a row for signing the France international in 2022.

According to the Daily Mail, Pogba will leave The Red Devils for free for the second time in his career, ten years after leaving Juventus. Pogba can sign a pre-contract in January, and it wouldn’t be shocking for PSG to wrap up that deal before the summer months start.

The addition of Pogba next summer would allow for PSG to proceed with their attempt to offload expendable players. Furthermore, it will enable the Ligue 1 club to secure more sponsors and take advantage of the arrival of Lionel Messi.

Nonetheless, if the French giants can land Pogba this summer as Manchester United might not want to lose him for anything, it will indeed make it one of the best summers of any club.
