Paris Saint-Germain appears to be the logical destination for Lionel Messi following the decision for both him and FC Barcelona to part ways due to economic and structural obstacles on the contract extension.
Now it seems as though Messi’s decision to be joining the capital club could be imminent. According to Brazilian football journalist Fernando Campos, Messi will be negotiating directly with PSG as both try to reach a financial settlement.
One of the marquee players that is playing a role in Messi possibly joining the Ligue 1 side is Neymar as the 29-year-old, alongside Angel Di Maria, Leandro Paredes, and Marco Verratti posed for a picture with Messi while on vacation.
Campos also adds in his reporting that the Argentine forward will travel to Paris soon to finalize the deal. The Brazilian reporter concludes that now everyone must wait as an agreement could be imminent.
Neymar last year stated the desire to play with his former Barcelona teammate, and now it seems he has played a role in making sure this happens.
