Amid Kylian Mbappe’s uncertain future with Paris Saint-Germain, the rumors have begun to ramp up on just who could be his short-term replacement should he leave the club.

Juventus star Cristiano Ronaldo has previously been linked with a move to PSG, and such rumors have once again begun to surface amid Mbappe’s current situation with PSG.

However, as noted by RMC Sport’s Loic Tanzi, PSG does not currently view Ronaldo as a transfer option for the ongoing summer transfer window.

The report added that PSG aims to keep Mbappe for this season. But even if he goes on to leave the club, PSG club officials would not look to haul in Ronaldo on a permanent transfer deal.

Following PSG’s free transfer signing of Lionel Messi, the club is now well-placed as the favorites to win the UEFA Champions League competition this season. However, PSG’s status as the favorite for this competition could be altered if Mbappe goes on to part ways with the club.
