Michael Jordan Has Already Cashed in Big from Messi’s PSG Move

Following Lionel Messi’s move to Paris Saint-Germain, fans of the French powerhouse and just football fans in general have been looking to get their hands on any Messi-related apparel.

A mere day after PSG announced the signing of the Argentine, hundreds of fans flocked into the club’s main store looking to purchase a new Messi No. 30 shirt.

Longtime Chicago Bulls star Michael Jordan has been among the big winners from Messi’s move to PSG.

As noted by TyC Sports, Nike and Michael Jordan have a kit deal with PSG, as the Air Jordan logo is notably stitched on the club’s official shirt. Jordan pockets 5 percent for every PSG shirt sold.

The report adds that the club has already hauled in €120 million from Messi-related shirt sales and thus, Jordan has made €6 million over the past week.

From a financial perspective, Messi’s move to PSG has already been an early win for the club. But the French powerhouse signed the Argentine for one key reason: to win the UEFA Champions League.
