The Achraf Hakimi saga will finally be over as the 22-year-old defender leaves Inter Milan after one season to join Paris Saint-Germain.
According to RMC Sport’s Mohamed Bouhafsi, Hakimi will sign a five-year contract with the transfer sum being near €60-million.
The French football reporter adds that the Moroccan international had the capital club as his first destination. Hakimi will be in Paris to complete his medical and officially make the transfer official.
Nonetheless, Inter Milan sports director Piero Ausilio was a little more careful when discussing the Hakimi transfer with Sky Sport (via Paris Fans)
“Our timings are never those announced in the transfer window. You are too fast. You are skipping almost every step. We must respect the necessary times,” Ausilio said.
“We are talking with PSG, it’s an opportunity, but we are still a long way from talking about the conclusion. We take our time for when everything is ready when there is something definitive.”
No transfer is done until the player is holding up the jersey. However, Inter Milan needs the money to settle the debts the Serie A club has. It seems as though these might be remarks to put any last touches on the bonuses for the deal.
