The Copa America final will be settled between Argentina and Brazil. One prominent player in either Lionel Messi or Neymar Jr. won their first international trophy with their national team.
Ahead of the matchup this weekend, Paris Saint-Germain defender Marquinhos spoke to the media. Canal Supporters relayed his comments regarding Neymar wanting to lift the trophy this weekend.
“Like Messi, we have players who really deserve this title. Neymar is eager to win this title with the Seleção. There are fans of Messi, Argentina, Brazil, Neymar, Marquinhos. Everyone deserves it; it is normal that people want Messi to win, because of his history, for what he has achieved, but we are on the other side, and we will try to get in his way.”
The 29-year-old was out injured when Brazil won the Copa America in 2019, and in 2016, he didn’t participate due to Neymar participating in the Olympics.
