The pursuit of Paul Pogba by Paris Saint-Germain continues to attract steam as the capital club remains confident. The 28-year-old has one more year left on his contract, and Manchester United needs to decide whether to sell or lose him for free next summer.
For French football pundit Éric Di Meco the only logical option for Pogba is a move home to Paris. During a segment on RMC Sport, the former Olympique de Marseille explained why PSG is the ideal destination for the midfielder.
“Pogba has big ambitions. He is world champion; he played for Juventus, he plays for Manchester United. Finally, he was unable to fight with the greats of Europe in the Champions League. While PSG, yes. Pogba must join a team capable of winning the Champions League,” Di Meco said.
“Real is complicated with the departure of Zidane and without too many resources. Barça, the same thing. There are Bayern, Man City, and Paris. If other doors open for Pogba, it will be Manchester United level clubs. But no! He must go to a team capable of winning the Champions. Where, apart from Paris, do you want him to go? Now is the time for him to go.”
