Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Marco Verratti got the start in the midfield for the Italian national team, and the decision is paying off for manager Roberto Mancini. The 28-year-old helped orchestrate the play that resulted in the goal by Nicolò Barella to open up the scoring against Belgium.
The PSG midfielder currently has two key passes in the fixture for Italy. Verratti is pulling the strings for his national team’s attack, as they hope to advance to the semifinals of the UEFA Euros.
