Video: ‘It’s a Gift From the Sky for PSG’ – Former Paris SG Goalkeeper Comments on Possible Arrival of Sergio Ramos

Sergio Ramos appears to be heading on his way to Paris Saint-Germain. The capital club has two quality starting central defenders in Marquinhos and Presnel Kimpembe, so some question the move.

However, for former PSG goalkeeper Jérôme Alonzo, no one should complain about the possible arrival of the former Real Madrid defender. With the crowded schedule, having a good rotation of these three defenders would help, Alonzo stated during an appearance on L’Equipe d’Estelle

Furthermore, there were parts of the season where the French giants felt the absence of Thiago Silva, and it seems they want to add that veteran voice in the backline once more.

“If the PSG wants to pass a plateau in the rotation, there must be disappointments. Because a big club, in a strategic position like that, there is obviously a small traffic jam. But a season with 60 matches, after a very tough season, they will all find their account there,” Alonzo said.

“They can also play three. Marquinhos and Sergio Ramos are an extraordinary pair. Kimpembe, this season, is sometimes a little wrong after improving. If I was still a player at PSG today and I see this player arriving at PSG, I finally say to myself. That they do not complain about the arrival of a monument of world football, it’s a gift from the sky for PSG.”
