Since Neymar Jr. stated that he would like to play Lionel Messi last year, the rumors connecting the 34-year-old to Paris Saint-Germain have been non-stop. However, now it seems these talks have officially ended as the Argentine forward will likely re-sign with FC Barcelona.
During an interview with ESPN, Leandro Paredes spoke about the recruitment they made to convince Messi to leave the Spanish club and venture to the French capital. Nonetheless, it wasn’t enough for him to depart Barcelona.
“Yes, there was a lot of talk at the club when it came out that Leo could come to Paris. It was a dream that he could be with us the following season, but hey, that will not happen, and I hope he will take advantage of it where he will play,” Paredes said.
