Ronaldinho Details Why Mbappe’s Play Style Is Similar to Brazil Legend Ronaldo

Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe has been lauded by many as of late, and now he can add longtime Brazilian midfielder Ronaldinho to his list of admirers.

Mbappe’s play for PSG this past season was simply on another level, as he scored key goals for the French powerhouse in UEFA Champions League and Ligue 1 play.

Many have begun to draw comparisons between Mbappe to legends of the past, and for Ronaldinho, he sees a bit of Ronaldo Nazario in the PSG star.

The former Selecao midfielder spoke further to France Football (via Le10Sport) about this striking comparison.

“He reminds me a bit of Ronaldo,” Ronaldinho said. “He’s a great player, very talented. He has all the qualities to win the Ballon d’Or. I like to see him play, especially when Neymar is by his side.”

Many surely are in agreement with Ronaldinho’s claim that Mbappe has what it takes to win the prestigious Ballon d’Or award.

While the PSG forward is currently not among the top favorites for this year’s Ballon d’Or, he can begin to emerge as a serious contender for this award over the first half of the upcoming season.

PSG will have key Champions League group stage fixtures and pivotal Ligue 1 duels upcoming later this year, which will be fixtures that Mbappe surely aims to orchestrate promising showings in.
