Paris Saint-Germain talents Marco Verratti and Gianluigi Donnarumma each are enjoying a much-needed vacation ahead of the upcoming new season. The two starred for the Italian national team over Euro 2020 as they helped the Azzurri claim a long-awaited trophy win in this competition.
For the moment, Verratti and Donnarumma are slated to join up with PSG on Aug. 2, as noted by the Brazilian-based outlet UOL. Thus, they will end up missing the upcoming clash between PSG and Lille OSC in the 2021 Trophee des Champions Final, which will take place on Aug. 1.
Nonetheless, PSG is expected to have plenty of regular first-team talents ready to feature in this key final, from Mauro Icardi to Sergio Ramos.
For now, it is not likely that Verratti and Donnarumma will be able to feature in PSG’s 2021/2022 Ligue 1 opener against Troyes, as the fixture will come on Aug. 7. Thus, they each may end up getting going with PSG on Aug. 15 when the team hosts Strasbourg for its Ligue 1 home opener.
