Report: PSG Has Set a Date for Donnarumma’s Expected Training Debut

With the upcoming 2021-2022 Ligue 1 season inching closer and closer, the remaining Paris Saint-Germain talents who have been enjoying much-needed vacations are now expected to soon join up with the team.

For one, new PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma has been on holiday after helping the Italian national team win the Euro 2020 tournament.

For the moment, Donnarumma is expected to make his training debut with the team on Tuesday or Wednesday of this week, as noted by L’Equipe. This may rule him out for PSG’s upcoming Ligue 1 opener, which will come against newly promoted side Troyes AC.

If Donnarumma does not go on to feature in this upcoming matchup against Troyes, veteran goalkeeper Keylor Navas may be called upon to start in this fixture instead.

Donnarumma may need a few training sessions under his belt before he can receive the green light from PSG’s coaching staff to make his Ligue 1 debut. PSG surely is well looking forward to seeing how he will perform in his debut season with the team.
