Report: Mbappe Has Notified Pochettino of Final Contract Extension Decision

Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe has notified manager Mauricio Pochettino that he does not aim to sign a contract extension deal with the club, according to a report from the Spanish-based outlet AS.

Mbappe made his preseason training debut on Friday. The French forward had been away on vacation over the past couple of weeks after featuring with the French national team in the Euro 2020 tournament.

As the report adds, Mbappe took some time to speak with Pochettino on Friday, where he made clear to the Argentine that he plans to leave the team next year when he will be out of a contract.

Mbappe is well aware that PSG does not aim to offload him over the ongoing summer transfer window. Thus, the French forward is planning to take part in the upcoming season with PSG. But from there, he is currently not planning to accept any such contract extension deal from club officials.

Pochettino is said to be very sympathetic about Mbappe’s desires to leave the club.

On the other hand, PSG well recognizes that Mbappe is currently not interested in signing a new contract extension deal with the club over the summer transfer window. PSG club officials are aiming to schedule a meeting with the forward to further discuss this matter.

Barring any changes, Mbappe will be leaving PSG next year when he will become a free agent.

  1. Ouch bro, relaying BS from AS a pro Madrid media that has no clue of what’s going on between Mbappe and the club…
How would they know a damn thing of what Pochetino and Kyllian are talking about LOL…
This is obvious BS and just an attempt to destabilize the club… Relaying might bring you clics but not helping the club 🙂
