Despite life appearing to go back to normal, the world continues to be on guard of COVID-19. It seems as though the virus is knocking down some players on the Paris Saint-Germain squad, one of them being the new arrival Achraf Hakimi.
The 22-year-old right-back missed the friendly match against Football Club Chambly Oise this Saturday. L’Equipe (via Paris Fans) reports that the Moroccan international tested positive for the coronavirus.
Furthermore, it doesn’t seem like Hakimi is the lone player to test positive for the virus. RMC Sport (via Paris Fans) reports that midfielder, Edouard Michut, is also in solitary confinement.
The 18-year-old had already missed the match against Le Mans because of the coronavirus. PSG defender Abdou Diallo didn’t play in the friendly against Chambly because of a cold. Meanwhile, Arnaud Kalimuendo was absent for muscle pain.
As for now, there are no further details as to how severe the symptoms are for these two players, and all the fan base can do is wish them a speedy recovery.
