New Paris Saint-Germain defender Sergio Ramos has had experience in going up against Ligue 1 teams in his career, but this upcoming season will be his first playing in France’s top flight.
Ramos is very much in awe of Ligue 1 and sees that featuring in the league this season will be a new challenge in his career.
The veteran defender spoke further about Ligue 1 during a recent press conference.
“I watch because I have friends who play in some teams,” Ramos said. “I’m happy that it has grown. It’s a very strong league physically and tactically.
“We have to focus on getting the title back. Lille won by one point and that must not happen again.”
The new Ligue 1 season will kick off next month.
