PSG Officially Rules Out Ramos for the 2021 Trophee des Champions Final Due to Injury

Paris Saint-Germain has officially ruled out Sergio Ramos for the upcoming 2021 Trophee des Champions Final, according to the club’s official website.

Ramos is currently out of action due to a left calf injury. The Spanish defender suffered this injury during a training session over the weekend, which is why he was left out of PSG’s squad list for its friendly fixture against Sevilla.

This injury for Ramos is not one that will sideline him for a lengthy period of time, but the veteran defender will miss PSG’s upcoming French cup final against Lille OSC as a result.

Overall, Ramos will go on to not feature in a single preseason fixture with PSG. The former Real Madrid defender joined PSG earlier this month and has so far gone on to miss each of the team’s club friendly matches since then.

Ramos will now look ahead to possibly being available for PSG’s 2021-2022 Ligue 1 opener, which will come against newly promoted side Troyes AC on Aug. 7.
