Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba is Plan A for Paris Saint-Germain to improve its midfield. The 28-year-old has one more year left on his contract, and the capital club wants to take advantage.
It will be up to the English club on whether they want to roll the dice and keep him for this season or lose him for free should there be no agreement on a contract extension.
However, should Pogba choose to depart, The Athletic (via Paris Fans) reports that the midfielder isn’t interested in heading to the French capital. Nonetheless, this could be a ploy by Manchester United, who still has optimism that they can reach a contract extension with Pogba.
On the French media side, there have been multiple reports that the PSG project intrigues Pogba. Furthermore, it helps that there’s a relationship between his agent, Mino Raiola, and Les Parisiens’ sporting director Leonardo.
Regardless, it’s a saga that continues and won’t have a finale until Pogba comes out and states what he wants to do with his future, whether that’s to remain with the Premier League club or head elsewhere.
