It’s a logjam at the Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper position, with Keylor Navas and Gianluigi Donnarumma having the only two spots on the squad.
The capital club is looking to find clubs for the rest of the goalkeepers, whether it’s a permanent transfer or a loan. French media outlet RMC Sport provided an update on one of the goalkeepers that will be departing the Ligue 1 side this summer, Alphonse Areola.
Areola spent the 2020-21 season on loan to Fulham FC, who earned relegation from the Premier League and now find themselves in the Championship. The 28-year-old doesn’t have a future in the French capital, and it seems as though there’s interest from one club to keep him in the Premier League.
Negotiations continue between West Ham United and PSG for Areola. According to the report, the English club is taking their time because The Hammers believe they have the leverage in the talks with Les Parisiens.
West Ham manager David Moyes had Lukasz Fabianski as his starter last season, but at 36-years-old, the English club could be looking for a younger option.
