Over the past couple of weeks, Brazilian midfielder Rafinha has been in the rumor mill over a possible departure from Paris Saint-Germain.
For one, PSG club officials have remained stern on their ambition to offload Rafinha over the ongoing summer transfer window. More so, the midfielder has been linked to multiple clubs for a possible transfer move, including with Premier League side Aston Villa.
Now, there is a new club that is showing an interest in acquiring Rafinha. As noted by the Spanish-based outlet Sport, Serie A side Sassuolo is also intrigued with the possibility of signing Rafinha.
Sassuolo could soon be parting ways with coveted midfielder Manuel Locatelli, especially as Italian powerhouse Juventus is keen on signing the Euro 2020 standout talent. Thus, Sassuolo may soon be in need of a midfielder to take the place of Locatelli in the team’s starting lineup.
Rafinha has a pair of seasons remaining on his current contract deal with PSG.
