PSG Mercato: Paris Stands Committed to Offloading Rafinha This Summer

Paris Saint-Germain has been among the more active clubs when it comes to acquiring players over the ongoing summer transfer window. However, it may be time for club officials to part ways with several players.

For one, Brazilian midfielder Rafinha capped off his first season with PSG as a reliable rotational player. He earned playing time minutes in the UEFA Champions League competition and showcased his versatility in Ligue 1 play.

Still, PSG has made a decision on the midfielder’s status for the upcoming campaign.

According to a report from Le Parisien (via Le10Sport), PSG is now open to parting ways with Rafinha via a permanent transfer move.

The report notably adds that with the arrival of Dutch midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum, the club is now looking for a buyer to acquire Rafinha as he has fallen down the team’s midfield depth chart.

However, PSG club officials are having a difficult time finding a club to take Rafinha, who has two more seasons remaining on his current contract deal.

PSG will remain open to selling the versatile midfielder until the very end of the ongoing summer transfer window.
