PSG Mercato: Paris SG Is Dropping Its Interest in Lazio Forward Joaquin Correa

Paris Saint-Germain is in the market for a forward since it’s becoming more evident that Moise Kean won’t return to the French capital.

PSG has reportedly expressed interest in Lazio’s Joaquin Correa; however, it seems as though the delay in getting a deal done has caused Les Parisiens to look elsewhere.

Corriere dello Sport (via Foot01) reports that the failure to set up a trade with Pablo Sarabia along with a transfer sum of around €15-million has caused the Ligue 1 side to abandon this file.

Mauro Icardi continues to see his name linked to Serie A clubs, and with his less than stellar performances in the friendlies to prepare for the 2021-22 season, likely might cause PSG, the capital club, to pursue a striker.

It will be interesting to see whether PSG sporting director Leonardo decides to look elsewhere for a striker or perhaps go forward with what they have unless an offer for Icardi comes that they can’t turn down.
